What is MCP?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard created by Anthropic that allows AI assistants like Claude to securely call external tools. The PlayReflect MCP server exposes three tools — log_reflection, get_patterns, and player_chat — so any compatible AI client can interact with your PlayReflect data.
Do I need a PlayReflect subscription?
PlayReflect is free for all players. The API bolt-on is an optional add-on ($4.99/mo or $47.99/yr) that unlocks MCP access. You do not need a paid subscription to PlayReflect first.
How many API calls do I get?
The bolt-on includes 100 API calls per day, with a sub-limit of 50 calls per day for the player_chat tool. Limits reset at midnight UTC. Need more? Check out AI Football developer plans.
Is my reflection data safe?
Yes. API keys are hashed with SHA-256 before storage — the plaintext key is never stored. All calls go through HTTPS. You can revoke keys instantly from your dashboard at any time.
